The MyRACMA portal will be unavailable to members on Wednesday 20th of September 2023 between 6pm and 8pm AEST due to IT maintenance work.

The second issue of The Quarterly for 2019 is now online for you to update yourself on recent developments and happenings through RACMA.

In this edition we put the spotlight on rural and regional medical leadership looking at the opportunities, challenges and changes healthcare services face in country areas according to some of our Fellows and members. The feature story includes Dr Joe McGirr (RACMA Rural Advisory Group Chair and Member for Wagga Wagga in the NSW Parliament), Dr Kenneth Clark (New Zealand Mid Central District Health Board Chief Medical Officer), Dr Patrick Giddings (Remote Vocational Training Scheme Chief Executive) and Dr Martin Byrne (Darling Downs Health Executive Director Medical Services).  In line with the theme, there is also a case study on change management at Bendigo Health with Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director of Clinical Governance, Dr Humsha Naidoo, and a review on the cost effectiveness of locums by Dr Junyi Shi, Medical Administration Registrar, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, NSW and Dr Lenert Bruce, Clinical Director: Department of Anaesthesia, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.

This edition also celebrates those of our members who received Queen’s birthday honours this year:
