After five years as the College Dean, Dr Lynette Lee has decided to step down from the role from 31 January 2022.

Dr Lee has been an active and committed Member of the College since 1997 and has significantly contributed to the role of the College in furthering training and assessment of Candidates on the pathway to Fellowship.

Through her work, she has provided expertise and advice on curriculum and assessment matters. As well as being a Supervisor, Executive Coach and Preceptor for Candidates, Dr Lee has held several leadership positions within the College, including Censor in Chief from 2010 to 2012, NSW co-Jurisdictional Coordinator of Training and Lead Fellow for Management Case Studies. She has participated in numerous College Accreditation site visits and was a member of Accreditation Review Panels.

Dr Lee led the development of the Assessment Framework for the Fellowship Training Program and was Chairman of the development and implementation of the Research Training Program.

Dr Lee also helped consolidate key committees such as the Academic Board, and the Training Progress Committee and has been a wise and valued mentor and supporter to the Chief Executive and many of our Candidates and Members in their journeys through Medical Leadership.

In 2016 Dr Lee was awarded the College Medallion for outstanding service to the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) both as an office bearer and in her service to education and examination.

Most recently, Dr Lee was instrumental in leading the re-accreditation process of the Fellowship Training Program. In 2018, the College received accreditation for another six years – the longest period of accreditation available from the Australian Medical Council. Dr Lee poured a significant amount of effort and time into ensuring the College’s submission was of the highest standard, including everything requested and required by the AMC.
