Health Systems Science Domain (HSSD)
The overall goal of this domain is the acquisition of specialist knowledge of healthcare systems. This domain involves the completion of a university Master’s degree relevant to health system management.
There are five core subjects that must be completed as part of the Candidate’s Masters studies:
- Australian and New Zealand Health Systems
- Health Law and Ethics
- Financial Management in Health
- Leadership in Health
- one of Evidence Informed Decision-making, Research Methods or Epidemiology & Statistics.

Candidates may seek credit for previously completed (within 10 years) comparable studies to the College’s academic requirements for the Master’s degree. Previously completed studies may be recognised in part, or in full, by the College. Where credit applications result in partial recognition, Candidates will be required to enrol into and complete single units in any of the College’s approved university Masters program to meet the requirements of the College’s training program.
Fellowship Training Program Applicants
Application for credit for previously completed Masters program or Masters subject(s) can be submitted when applying for Candidacy in the Fellowship Training Program. Applicants will be able to download the Masters Credit Application Form via a link when completing the Online Candidacy Application. The application form is available in the Online Candidacy Application Form via the online FTP application form when Applications are open. Applications for the 2022 FTP are now closed.
RACMA Candidates
Current RACMA Candidates may submit their credit application for Masters program or Masters subjects at any time. Information regarding the credit application process for Masters program can be found on CANVAS.
